A phrase is found in Epidemics, Book I, of the Hippocratic school:
Practice two things in your dealings with disease: either help or do not harm the patient.
When discussing the primary immune response to a pathogen, Roitt’s Essential Immunology (13th ed p62) suggests it is triggered by (bold italics emphasis added):
First encounter with the organism, either as a disease-causing infection or preferably as a harmless vaccine.
How the Immune System Works (6th ed p125) says this about vaccines (emphasis added):
a vaccination is intended to prepare the immune system for battle by giving the system as close a look at the real thing as is possible without exposing the vaccine recipient to undue risks
Then there’s this guy:
Get your kids vaccinated if you can
Help protect us all
Not only does this child not need protection from C19, but the vaccine has injured him.
What kind of father then turns around and exhorts you to take the same unnecessary risk with your child?
The expert kind.
I am speechless!
