If you ever watch TV when people are interacting at a more personal level, it has often been my experience that a question like,
“Do you love me,”
even when the response is sincerely in the positive, something goes wrong with the delivery: the respondent (a paid actor) shakes their head (No) whilst saying, “Yes”. It’s a subconscious battle between truth and what they are being paid to say.
Try doing it now, consciously, and unless it’s something you’ve played with before, it should be difficult.
Just repeat yes, and shake your head side to side (ie No).
Humans have vocal communication and non-vocal, and more often than not, they align. But when they don’t, it would seem likely to me they are not telling the truth. No matter how hard we want to say something, our bodies betray us. Even when paid as actors to portray a particular character in a particular situation, responding in a particular way.
