Random VI: A political protocol

Are politicians servants or masters?

Hey there. Long time no see. I hope this message finds you well and provides an interesting distraction.

If you have any thoughts on this random thought of mine, I welcome feedback.

This one is simple: if somebody wishes to become a politician, as well as having rock solid policies and character, they have to donate a body part to someone in need to qualify for office.

Rationale (in random order):

• people in need of a kidney, a lung or bone marrow are not helped if someone “puts their money where their mouth is”.

• genetic similarities are required for successful transplants. My hypothesis is a successful transplant would go some way to ensuring representation of the population for which the potential politician seeks election

• a robust medical system would be a top priority if you are going through the process of an organ transplant, including ongoing care

• I wish to instill in these … people … that they are there to serve, not to rule

• provides some guarantee that they are young enough to survive an organ transplant, and thus also young enough to not succumb to dementia in the next 4 years…

A random thought I had.
